Explosive dynamics of bluff-body-stabilized lean premixed hydrogen flames at blow-off

Two-dimensional direct numerical simulation (DNS) databases of bluff-body-stabilized lean hydrogen flames representative complicated reactive–diffusive system are analysed using the combined approach computational singular perturbation (CSP) and tangential stretching rate (TSR) to investigate chemical characteristics in blow-off dynamics. To assess diagnostic approaches flame dynamics, Damköhler number TSR variables applied compared. Four cases considered this study showing different dynamics such as steadily stable mode, local extinction by asymmetric vortex shedding, convective blow-out. DNS data points positive explosive eigenvalue conditions were subdivided into four combinations extended space categorized distinct characteristic regions, kinetically or dissipative transport-enhanced The analysis clearly captures point shedding allows an improved understanding chemistry-transport interactions occurring blow-out events.
